Product Description
A Grommet consists of an endless rope made from one continuous length of strand formed to make a body composed of six strands around a strand core. The strand ends are tucked into the body forming the core with the tuck position diametrically opposite to the core position.
We manufacture standard grommets from a single strand of wire rope to make a complete circle of wire rope, with almost invisible joints, and these can be used for many purposes such as lifting slings, piling extractors, vibration inhibitors etc.
Grommet are available in endless round and with eye and eye type.

Wide Range of ApplicationsIdeal for construction, marine, offshore, and rigging sectors, these slings excel wherever robust lifting solutions are essential. Their endless grommet form enhances flexibility, reduces wear, and eliminates the need for eye-to-eye terminations, making them versatile for different lifting and rigging situations.
FAQ's of Cable Laid Grommet Wire Rope Sling:
Q: How is a cable laid grommet wire rope sling constructed?
A: A cable laid grommet wire rope sling is crafted by cabling multiple steel strands into a continuous, endless form, known as a grommet. This specialized construction provides uniform strength, high flexibility, and eliminates conventional end terminations like eyes.
Q: What finishes and coatings are available for these slings?
A: These slings are supplied in galvanized, ungalvanized, or bright steel finishes. Additionally, an optional anti-corrosive coating can be applied upon request, enhancing resistance to harsh environments and extending service life.
Q: When should I specify a particular wire diameter or breaking load?
A: Selecting the appropriate wire diameter and breaking load depends on the intended application, lifting capacity requirements, and safety regulations. Specifications can be customized and are available upon request to match project demands.
Q: Where can cable laid grommet slings be used?
A: They are widely deployed in heavy lifting, marine operations, offshore platforms, construction sites, and rigging setups due to their strength, flexibility, and reliable performance in variable conditions.
Q: What is the typical process for ordering these slings?
A: Orders are placed in accordance with customer requirements for size, finish, and quantity. Packing can be done coiled, wrapped, or as specified. Minimum order values are based on manufacturer's policy or client request for maximum flexibility.
Q: How does the endless grommet design benefit users?
A: The endless grommet construction increases the sling's flexibility and distributes load evenly, minimizing wear and extending the lifespan. It also negates the need for eye-to-eye splicing, making handling and installation easier.
